themselves show next month

wiggled my way into this themselves show next month at the doug fir... 06-24... giddy like a schoolgirl, it will be some good times. looking forward to seeing their new stuff live, i don't think i've ever even seen themselves live, just their 13&god counterpart.

masters are back...

album is done, bibio

two things... first thing is, i forgot to mention that my new album is done, and called tentatively "the roots, the leaves"... we're hoping for a january release... second is, i cannot stop listening to this new-ish bibio record called "vignetting the compost". it is lovely.

whoops, tracks back up

sorry folks, forgot to move the mp3s for the player over when i did the little site overhaul last weekend. they're back up now! hopefully wrapping things up here this weekend, i fly to austin on wednesday.

mixing, acoustic panels

spending some time this week wrapping up the mixes for the new album... it's gotten a lot easier because i was finally able to grab some acoustic panels to put up on the walls in my studio. it was like an echo chamber in there. it's kind of weird now how dry the room is, compared to before. it will take a little getting used to, especially when i am sitting in there working on non-musical things. i'm trying to setup a bunch of house shows in portland and seattle over the summer. i'll post them up as they come together.

close to done with the new album!

i'm re-recording some vocals today and working on some mixing... going to re-record a few more vocals for some songs, and then the new album is done! then i just need to come up with a name for it.

back in portland...

hey folks, i'm back in portland now... thanks so much to everyone that came out to the shows. i'm resuming work on my new album... should be done soon if all goes well! on a side note circle into square added one of bleubird's free EPs entitled "Street Talk 5" on the site, go check it out!

missoula, missoula

i got into missoula earlier this afternoon, after a short drive through the mountains of northern idaho and montana... alternating sunshine and snow-rain-sleet... a really amazing drive... and missoula is great... it's like a western version of burlington vermont, without the hippies and a whole lot more mountains/hills encircling it... i dig it, i dig it a whole lot. now to kill some time before load in... right now i am killing time with a whiffle ball bat. looking forward to the show this evening at the badlander!

the tour hath started

i'm on the road now... i made it to the bustling metropolis of spokane this afternoon... tomorrow is missoula, the first date of the tour i'll be on.. we're at the badlander. it should be a great show... i'm looking forward to the drive too, the drive out here was beautiful. lots of sagebrush.
